We are women immersed in the Gospel 
    who dedicate ourselves to living the gentleness
    and humility of the heart of Jesus.

We are women of prayer
    who, with listening hearts,
    experience the immensity of God’s love in our lives,
    a love which overflows into the lives of others.

We are women of the church
    who commit ourselves to comforting
    the hurting members of Christ’s body,
    to building communities of faith and love,
    to being a gentle presence
    in a broken, often violent, but redeemed world.

We, Sisters of the Visitation,
    reflect in our lives 
    the embrace of Mary and Elizabeth,
    listening to the mystery
    and proclaiming the wonder of God’s grace.
    In these holy women, the prophet of justice
    meets the Prince of peace;
    they call us to make our own
    Mary’s prophetic song of praise and justice:
    “My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord.”

In the spirit of Jane and Francis, gracious God,
    we commit ourselves to LOVE YOU NOW
    with all our heart, with all our soul,
    with all our mind, and with all our strength,
    and to love our neighbor as ourselves!
